May the Force Be With Your Tastebuds this May 4th! It’s Star Wars Day, and it’s a common theme at Breckenridge Distillery. From the artwork that adorns the walls and hallways to the themed to properly-garnished Star Wars cocktails, it is safe to say….we are fans. Billie Keithley, Breckenridge Distillery’s Liquid Chef and massive Star Wars fan has come up with Jedi-worthy cocktails to celebrate Star Wars Day.

Obi-Wan Old Fashioned
Obi-Wan Old Fashioned
2-1/2oz Breckenridge Port Cask Finish (Buy Now)
1/2oz raw simple syrup*
2-3 dashes of barrel-aged bitters or Angostura Bitters
Stir with ice, strain over large ice cube
Garnish: Luxardo cherry, orange
*Raw simple syrup: 1 cup sugar in the raw, 1 cup water. Simmer until dissolved.
Yoda Soda
3/4 oz Breckenridge Gin (Buy Now)
2 oz cucumber lime syrup*
Soda
Build in a glass, top two ingredients. Add pebble ice and top with soda. Gently stir to incorporate ingredients.
Garnish: Cucumber and citrus lace
*cucumber lime syrup. Add juice of 3 cucumbers, 1-1/2 limes and ¼ cup monk fruit sweetener into a mixing vessel. Stir until sweetener is dissolved. Bottle and refrigerate.

1 oz Breckenridge Vodka (Buy Now)
2 oz cream of coconut
3 oz Boo Berry cereal milk*
Shake all ingredients with ice. Strain over pebble ice.
Garnish: Lavender sugar
*Boo Berry cereal milk. Add 1 cup of Boo berry cereal to 1 cup milk. Stir, let sit in fridge 20 minutes then strain.

1-1/2 oz Breckenridge Vodka (Buy Now)
1 oz blueberry/maple/peppercorn shrub*
1/2 oz lime juice
Top with soda
Shake first three ingredients with ice. Strain over ice top with soda.
Garnish: blueberries
*Blueberry, maple and peppercorn shrub: 8 oz blueberries,8 oz water, 8 oz sugar,2 oz cider vinegar,2 oz maple syrup, 1 bar spoon peppercorn. Muddle blueberries & peppercorn in a saucepan. Over med heat add water, cider vinegar, maple syrup and sugar. Stir until dissolved.

2 oz Breckenridge PX Sherry Cask Whiskey (Buy Now)
2 oz tart cherry juice simple syrup*
1/4 oz fresh lemon juice
2 dashes Bitty Truth Chocolate Bitters
Honey/vanilla foam*
Shake top 4 ingredients with ice. Double strain up into a coupe. Top with foam.
Garnish: Luxardo cherry
*cherry simple syrup. Over Medium heat, add 2lbs frozen tart cherries and 1/2 Turbinado sugar. Muddle cherries to extract juice. Stir until dissolved. Let cool, strain, bottle, and refrigerate.

1-1/2 oz Breckenridge Rum Cask Finish (Buy Now)
2 oz apple and pear allspice mix*
1 oz lemon juice
Shake with ice
Garnish: apple chip
*Apple and pear allspice mix: over medium heat add 8 oz sugar, 16 oz apple cider, 16 oz pear juice, 2 oz muddled allspice berries, 4 oz vanilla bean paste, 4 oz calvados. Stir to combine and let simmer until sugar is dissolved. Do Not Boil. Strain and let cool.

1/2 oz Breckenridge Aquavit
1/2 oz orange liqueur
1/2 oz lemon juice
1/2 oz caraway simple syrup*
Shake all ingredients and strain. Serve up in frozen coupe glass.
Garnish: dehydrated lemon slice and light saber
*Caraway Simple Syrup: over medium heat add 8 oz water and 8 oz sugar. Stir until dissolved. Toast 1 oz caraway seeds for 5 minutes at 325 degrees. Add toasted caraway seeds. Steep for 20 minutes and strain.
ROGUE PLANET
2 oz Brown Butter Washed Bourbon*
2 oz Tart cherry juice
1 oz Allspice syrup*
1 oz lemon juice
3/4 bar spoon Mission fig vinegar
Shake all ingredients with ice. Strain and serve over ice.
Garnish: Red vein sorrel
*Brown butter wash: over medium heat, melt one stick unsalted butter until it has a nutty aroma. Pour 1 bottle of Breckenridge Bourbon and melted butter into pitcher and freeze overnight. Skim off butter, and strain out the rest.
*Allspice syrup: over medium heat, add 1 cup water, 1 cup brown sugar and 2 oz muddled allspice. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Let cool, strain, bottle and refrigerate.

Outer Rim
1-1/2 oz Breckenridge PX Sherry Cask Finish Whiskey (Buy Now)
1 oz toasted black sesame syrup*
½ oz fresh lemon juice
Shake top three ingredients with ice. Strain into a glass with a quarter rim of Electro dust.
*toasted black sesame syrup. Over low medium heat, add ½ cup black sesame. Stir, you’ll hear them pop a little. Without burning, let cool and add to a spice grinder. Add them back to a pot with 3 cups water and 2-1/2 cups sugar. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Let cool, strain, bottle and refrigerate.

1 oz Breckenridge 105 High Proof Bourbon Whiskey (Buy Now)
1 oz Breckenridge Bitter (Buy Now)
1 oz milk liqueur*
3/4 oz fresh lime juice
Garnish: Basil
*Milk liqueur: combine 1 cup milk, 1 cup white sugar, 1 cup Breckenridge Vodka with juice and rinds of 1/2 lemon, 1/2 lime, and 1/2 orange. Let sit a few days and strain.
